Centre for Collaborative Contracting launched
The Alliancing Association of Australasia has launched a Centre for Collaborative Contracting, which aims to assist best practice in the application and management of collaborative business engagements in the delivery of public, commercial, industrial or social infrastructure projects or services.
The emerging field of collaborative contracting marks the crossroads of key knowledge areas that support capability in the management of complex multi-party business engagements, joint ventures, virtual project organisations and multi-disciplinary teams.
Capabilities include strategic business management, advanced project management, team development and peak performance management, and industry technical knowledge.
Visitors to the new online centre can expect to find a repository of statistics, knowledge assets and practical guidelines to assist practitioners to develop their understanding, knowledge and skills in the practice of collaborative contracting in infrastructure delivery.
It also hosts a section specifically for project managers dealing with collaborative projects. The Collaborative Project Manager Zone will provide resources dedicated to the needs of project managers who wish to develop their capabilities and job performance as managers of alliances and collaborative engagements.
