Sustainable development guru to tour Australia
Living Building Challenge founder Jason F McLennan has announced an Australian tour that will take him to five major cities over 7–15 November 2011.
The sustainable development guru will use his sessions to challenge design professionals, contractors, owners, developers and students to use nature as the ultimate measuring stick for the performance of the built environment.
Author, speaker and thought leader McLennan based the Living Building Challenge on the premise ‘What if every single act of design and construction made the world a better place?’. Part philosophy, advocacy tool and certification program, the Living Building Challenge is designed to encourage teams to find solutions in the context of their region, culture and climate.
The International Living Future Institute, in partnership with Viridis E3, an Australian environmentally sustainable design consultancy, will hold a public lecture and workshop series across Australia from 7-15 November.
