The program for the 2011 International Project Management Association (IPMA) World Congress has been released. The 25th congress will be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre over 9-12 October 2011, hosted by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

Keynote speakers include a lineup of Australian and international guests, from John Bilmon of PTW Architects to Ed Merrow, president of Independent Project Analysis in the USA, and Harjono Zainal-Abidin, project management coach at Mentor Solutions & Resources in Malaysia.

The plenary sessions in the program fit into one of seven streams under the main theme of ‘Delivering the promise’: social and corporate responsibility, practitioners and the occupation, clients and stakeholders, practices and methods, the future, the Australian experience, and the international experience.

Although the congress will officially open on the afternoon of 10 October, IPMA’s Young Crew sessions will begin on 8 October, and a number of IPMA workshops will run prior to the opening ceremony.
