The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) will once again welcome a number of distinguished keynote presenters and project management practitioners to its annual conference, this year themed ‘People, Places, Projects… A New Frontier’.

This year held in Melbourne, the conference will welcome speakers from a diverse background including expert financier Mark Bouris from Yellow Brick Road, author of Mao’s Last Dancer Li Cunxin, Santo Rizzuto of Sinclair Knight Merz and former Sydney Lord Mayor Frank Sartor, now representing SPP Services.

In addition to covering topics such as governance, project management methodologies and methods, human capital, communications, and new world challenges, the conference will also provide project managers with a networking platform integrated with its schedule.

The Conference Online Program (COP), accessible via mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, Google Android and BlackBerry, allows delegates to tailor their conference schedule and keeps them up to date with changes. It also gives attendees the opportunity to create and edit their profiles and to view other delegates’ profiles ahead of schedule, boosting networking opportunities during the conference.

AIPM’s communications coordinator Lee Edmondson said conference exhibitors and sponsors will also be able to promote their company profiles and link social media platforms into COP, to “raise awareness, gain more exposure and to give delegates more information about your company leading up to, and during, the National Conference”.
