More change, please
Has anyone, anywhere, ever heard a team member or manager ask for more change? No? I didn’t think so! The phrases I hear most often are:
“Why are we changing? Things are OK the way they are.”
“This is change for change’s sake.”
“We are changing too much, too fast.”
The problem with project scope
Is ‘scope’ a project management or a value delivery tool? Project management contributes to project success, but does not guarantee it. Project management can efficiently deliver the wrong result as well as a high-value result; it is content agnostic.
Decision-making for project managers
Indecision can happen to anyone, and often occurs when you least expect it. The pause that takes place when you are in the midst of making any important (or not so important) decision is like a comma in your life, separating one idea from the next, and one task from another.
Improving project governance in relationship contracts
Is your governance team finding the right balance between strategic and operational involvement in your project or program? Do they understand the distinction between governance and leadership? If you think there is room for improvement, you are not alone.
