AIPM offers project management research award

The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) has announced a new financial award for research into project management.

The $500 AIPM Annual Research Award has been set up to recognise and honour significant individual contributions to project management through authored project management research of a duration greater than one year.

Applicants may be from disciplines other than project management but must show how the findings contribute to the development of project, program management,or project-oriented companies.

The award jury will consist of practitioners, researchers, representatives of the AIPM Knowledge Research Council and the award will be presented as part of the annual AIPM National Conference.

Applications for the inaugural award open open on 14 January 2012 with a deadline of 18 May 2012. The winner will be expected to attend the AIPM National Conference in Melbourne on 7-10 October 2012 to accept the award and present their findings.
