Project practitioners invited to OGC Best Practice Users Day

Project practitioners, executive managers and PMO specialists are invited to Best Practice Users Day, an event designed to bring together those who are planning to implement the UK Office of Government Commerce (OGC) best practice methods such as P30, P3M3, MSP and PRINCE2.

The event will feature speakers from a number of different fields including government, education and private industry, as well as case studies from the Queensland Department of Communities, the Australian Electoral Commission and the Australian Energy Market Operator.

Presenters include David Maybanks, Assistant Secretary of the Investment Management Branch at the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) on ‘Getting better value from ICT Investments: Update on the Australian Government’s Agency Capability Initiative’; Gabrielle Morrison, external relations manager at PRINCE2 accreditation body APMG-Australasia on ‘The OGC’s Best Practice methodologies: How they complement each other’; and John Howarth, director of Business Performance Services Advisory at KPMG on ‘Beyond training and templates: how to increase capability maturity with OGC frameworks’.

The Canberra event is sponsored by Fortes’ Principal Toolbox and Tanner James.
