The increased focus on benefits realisation in the project management process has led to the development of a specialised summit to be held in Sydney at the end of this month.

The Benefits Realisation Summit 2012 will focus on best practice benefits realisation using case studies and practical guidance about the roles an organisation can play in managing benefits in their projects.

The summit will feature speakers from a number of corporate, government and project management backgrounds including Allan Mills from Deloitte, Mark Croxford from APMG-Australasia, Jeroen Bolluijt from the Helmsmann Institute and Barry Anderson from Tanner James.

Accreditation and certification body APMG-Australasia will also launch its new benefits management guide.

Matt Williams of host organisation Connexion Systems said delegates should expect “thought-leading presentations by benefits management and realisation discipline leaders” and be able to “learn and network with colleagues and benefits management specialists from a variety of industry sectors and government agencies”.

Delegates will include:

  • Portfolio & benefits managers
  • Industry consultants
  • PRINCE2, MSP, P30 & MoP users
  • Program and project managers
  • PMO stakeholders
  • Principal Toolbox user community
